Day 1: Delhi
Begin your Tour. Arrive into DelhiWelcome to Vardhman's "Hemkund
Sahib Tour"!On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred
by Vardhman's representative to your hotel. Rest for a while and then,
proceed for a half-day tour of the city.Combined city tour of New Delhi
& Old Delhi Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan,
Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana,
the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive
past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.Proceed on a tour of
the city, which includes the main attraction like Qutab Minar, Humayun's
tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House,
Government Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre
of New Delhi.Overnight: Hotel
Day 2: Delhi - Rishikesh
Early in the morning drive to Rishikesh. Rishikesh is the gateway
to the Garhwal Himalayas. The distance between the two cities is 220
kms which takes about 6 hrs. The city is full of temples & ashrams
and has the Yoga Institute situated here. Arrive Rishikesh and check
into the hotel. Later visit Rishikesh which included visit to Laxman
Jhula, am Jhula, Bharat Mandir etc.Laxman Jhula :- one of the biggest
tourist attractions in Rishikesh, Laxman Jhula is a suspended bridge
on the Ganges. Legend has it that Laxman had crossed the river Ganges
at this spot on a bridge of ropes. Now a suspended iron bridge 450 ft
long, built in 1939 exists here. The Laxman Jhula is something you cannot
simply miss on a tour to Rishikesh.Ram Jhula :- another suspended bridge
between Shivanand Ashram and Sawarg Ashram, Ram Jhula has been named
after Laxmans elder brother Ram.Bharat Mandir :- built by Adiguru
Shankracharya, the Hindu saint in 12th century, this is the oldest temple
in Rishikesh. It is located on the bank of river Ganges in the old town
and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, whose idol carved out of a single 'Salagram'
stands here.Rishikund :- Legend has it that, the river Goddess Yamuna
was so pleased with the saint Kubz that she filled this tank with water.Nilkanth
Mahadeo :- according to Hindu mythology when the ocean was being churned
out for amrit by the gods and the demons, it was venom that
first oozed out. This venom was swallowed by Lord Shiva at this spot
and the place got its name from that event.Overnight: Hotel
Day 3: Rishikesh - Karnaprayag - Joshimath
Morning after breakfast, drive to reach Joshimath which is the winter
abode of Lord Badrinath. Enroute visit Karnaprayag. Karn Prayag is one
of five sites where the confluence of rivers occurs. The five prayags
are Vishnuprayag, Nandprayag, Karanprayag, Rudraprayag and Devprayag.
Allahabad where the Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati join, is known
as Prayag, and is one of the holy places of Hindu pilgrimage. Karanprayag
is believed by many to be the place where Karna of the Mahabharata,
was to have worshipped the Sun God. It is the ancient temple, devoted
to Uma and Karna.Evening arrive at Joshimath and check into the hotel
for overnight stay.Overnight: Hotel
Day 4: Joshimath - Govindghat - Ghangria Drive: 18 kms. Trek: 13
kms.
Morning after breakfast, drive to reach Govindghat. From here start
trekking to reach Ghangria also called GOVIND DHAM, the base camp for
Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers. Please note that camping within
the Valley of Flowers is not permitted.

Day 5: Ghangria - Hemkund - Ghangria , Trek: 16 kms.
Morning after early breakfast, start trekking to reach Hemkund Sahib,
one of the holiest pilgrimages for the Sikhs. Snow-covered peaks and
mountains makes the backdrop for 'The Hemkund Lake'. Hemkund or Hemkunt
Sahib, with a setting of a glacial lake surrounded by seven peaks, is
a popular pilgrimage site for Sikhs. It is located in the Himalayas
at an elevation of over 15,200 ft (4,600 m) in Uttarakhand state of
India, and accessible only by foot from Govindghat on Rishikesh-Badrinath
highway.It is most known for a gurudwara, known as Hemkunt Sahib, associated
the Sikh guru, Guru Govind Singh, and is one of the most sacred of Sikh
shrines, the lake also has a Lakshman temple built by it.Return to Ghangria
for overnight stay in Hotel.Overnight: Hotel
Day 6: Ghangria- Govindghat - Rudraprayag ,Trek: 16 kms
Morning after early breakfast, start return trek to Govindghat.
On arrival, drive to Rudraprayag via Joshimath and Karnaprayag. On arrival,
check into your hotel for overnight stay. At the confluence of Mandikini
and Alaknanda river, Rudraprayag is a Hindu Pilgrimage site.Rudraprayag
(Devanagari) is a town and a nagar panchayat in Rudraprayag District
in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch
Prayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River, the point of confluence
of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Alaknanda then proceeds towards Devaprayag
where it joins with Bhagirathi river to form the river Ganga. Kedarnath,
a Hindu holy town is located 86 km from Rudraprayag.Overnight: Hotel
Day 7 : Rudraprayag - Rishikesh
Morning after early breakfast, drive to return to reach Rishikesh.
Evening arrive Rishikesh and check into hotel for overnight stay.Overnight:

Day 8 : Rishikesh - Delhi
Morning after early breakfast, drive back to Delhi, enroute visiting
Hari-ki-pauri in Haridwar. On arrival at Delhi, check into hotel. Relax
for rest of the day.
