Day 01: Delhi
Begin your tour.
Arrive into Delhi
Welcome to Vardhman's 'Monuments Tour India '! On arrival in Delhi, you
will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02: Delhi
This morning after a leisurely breakfast we will proceed for the sightseeing
of Delhi.
Combined city tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi
Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu
Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught
place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid,
one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation
sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni
Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 3: Delhi Khajuraho by flight
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Khajuraho.
On arrival, check into your hotel.
Later proceed for sightseeing of a group of temples.
City tour of Khajuraho
Visit the world famous Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela kings
between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset Yogini
Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji
Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples,
Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most
typical of temples.

Day 4: Khajuraho-Jhansi Agra by train
This morning after breakfast drive to Jhansi and transfer to railway
station to catch train for Agra. (Shatabdi Express - 1730- 2000 hrs)
Arrive Agra transfer to hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Agra
City tour of Agra
Visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Every Friday), Red fort & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula.
Later you will visit a marble gallery - the flagship store in Agra which
offers an excellant range of white marble, fashionable wear & exotic
wooden articles, truly a one stop shop!
Optional: Later in the evening why not take the option of watching Sound
& Light show. Later return to your hotel for a good nights rest.

Day 06 Agra-Fatehpur Sikri-Jaipur
Today you drive to the former capital city of Emperor Akbar
On to Jaipur.
Your exciting day begins with a tour, starting with a visit to Fatehpur
Sikri. Then continue onward to Jaipur and check into your hotel.

Day 07 Jaipur
City tour of Jaipur
Elephant Safari
This morning you will experience the wonders of this magicial pink city,
as you proceed on a tour of Amber fort (optional: Elephant Safari). Later
visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glitterning with mirrors, Maharaja's
City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of
Winds and through the rose pink residential and business areas of Jaipur.
Optional: Lunch at a Heritage hotel with Tonga ride or explore the market
& shop for special bargains!

Day 08 Jaipur- Jodhpur
Morning drive to Jodhpur and transfer to hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 9 Jodhpur
City tour of Jodhpur
Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill, including
Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble
memorium built in 1899 and the Museum located in the Umaid Public gardens.
Overnight will be at Jodhpur.

Day 10 Jodhpur-Ranakpur-Udaipur
Today you drive to Ranakpur Jain Temples - one of the biggest and
the most important cluster of Jain temples in India. Nestled in the Aravalli
range.
On to Udaipur
Then continue onward to Udaipur - Lake City and check into your hotel.

Day 11 Udaipur
City tour of Udaipur
Boat Cruise on Lake Pichola
Visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, drive around Fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion
ki Bari (Queen resort for her friends) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk
Art Museum)
Boat curise on Lake Pichola 4km long and 3km broad, surrounded by splendid
hills, Palaces, temples bathing ghats and embankments

Day 12: Udaipur Aurangabad
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Khajuraho.
On arrival, check into your hotel.
Today you will explore the caves of Ajanta which offer a rich tapestry
of images that speak of palaces, royalty, cultures and tales of everyday
life of ancient India. Long buried in the debris of time, these 30 caves
were built to offer seclusion to the Buddhist monks, who lived, taught
and performed rituals.

Day 13: Aurangabad- Mumbai
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Khajuraho.
On arrival, check into your hotel.
City tour of Mumbai
Half-day tour of Mumbai. Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens situated on
the slopes of Malabar Hill offering a panoramic view of Marine drive,
Chowpatty Beach, Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Dhobi Ghat, Gateway
of India & drive through the Crawford Market, Marine Drive & Flora
Fountain.

Day 14: Mumbai-Madurai
This morning you will be taken to explore Ellora caves. Carved between
fourth and fifth century, the rock temples andmonasteries of Ellora represent
the three major faiths of India - Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.Like
Ajanta, Ellora caves too are a fine example of cave temples with almost
34 caves with intricate interiors and ornamental facades.
Later in the afternoon in-time transfer to the airport to board the flight
for Madurai

Day 15: Madurai
Continuing your tour to South India you will fly in the morning to
Madurai where you arrive before noon. All activity in Madurai is centered
round Sri Meenakshi Temple in the heart of the told town. A riotously
baroque example of Dravidian architecture, you visit the temple in the
afternoon.

Day 16: Madurai-Chettinad
After a leisurely start today you drive to Chettinad which is known
for its artistic houses.
Spend the afternoon exploring the palace and around for its unique architecture.

Day 17: Chettinad-Trichy -Tanjore
This morning you will drive to Tanjore. Also called a city of temples,
Tanjore is dotted with no fewer than 74 temples - the most famous of which
is the Brihadeshwara temple.You visit this fascinating temple and the
Thanjavur Palace before continuing your drive to Trichy.
The town of Trichy is another small place of South India which is littered
with innumerable evidence of the region's excellence in art and architecture.
In the evening you explore the city including spectacular Rock Fort Temple.

Day 18: Tanjore -Madras-(Chennai)

Evening transfer to railway station to catch overnight train for Madras

Day 19: Madras -(Chennai)
Arrive Chennai and transfer to hotel
Madras is a fascinating city with its ancient temples and unique culture,
golden sandy beaches and a marvelous tradition of music and dance. You
explore this lovely city in the afternoon, immediately after arriving
at the station. After the short city tour you will check into your hotel
which is a beach hotel outside Madras city.
Today will be spent in visiting two of the finest examples of ancient
South Indian architecture - Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram.

Day 20: Madras -(Chennai)
In time transfer to Chennai airport to board the flight for your onward
journey to back home with sweet and unforgettable memories of your ''Monuments
