Welcome to Vardhman's "Jeep Safari In Himalayas"! On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transfered by our representative to hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight: Hotel Day 02: Delhi After, a leisurely breakfast proceed for the sightseeing of the City. Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple , a modern Hindu Temple , Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi . Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi. Overnight: Hotel Day 03: Delhi - Darjeeling After breakfast transfer to Domestic airport to Connect flight to Bagdogra. On arrival at the Bagdogra airport our representative will meet and greet you. Then drive to Darjeeling and check into your hotel for an overnight stay. Overnight: Hotel Day 04: Darjeeling Early morning at around 0430 hrs, drive for about 30 minutes to see the dawn views over the Kanchenjunga (8,548m) massive and other Eastern Himalayan peak from the Famous Tiger Hill. Incidentally Tiger Hill is the highest point of this area (2,540m) and is about 11 kms from Darjeeling. Overnight: Hotel Day 05: Darjeeling - Permanagtse After breakfast at the hotel, drive for Pemayangtse (2,045m), the drive takes about 06 - 07 hrs. The first part of the drive is through some very spectacular Tea Gardens over a gradually descending road. On arrival check into your hotel. Overnight: Hotel Day 06: Permanagtse - Martham This morning after breakfast we drive towards Martham (1,800m) 04 hours. On arrival check into your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight: Hotel Day 07: Martham - Gangtok This morning drive to Gangtok (1,600m) 06 hours, through the heart of Sikkim. The drive is over a winding road and occasionally passes through the Cardamom plantations and Orange orchards. Overnight: Hotel Day 08: Gangtok Early morning wake up to witness another spectacular sunrise of the Kanchenjunga massif from Tashi viewpoint, which is, located 16 kms from Gangtok. Return to hotel for breakfast followed by drive to Rumtek Monastery which is situated 24 kms from Gangtok and is the seat of the KAGYU - PA SECT of Tibetan Buddhism. Overnight: Hotel Day 09: Gangtok - Kalimpong After breakfast depart for Kalimpong (1,250m) 03 hrs, The road winds its way through the hill side following the Teesta all along the way passing through some of the most beautiful countryside in this region. Overnight: Hotel Day 10: Kalimpong - Phuntsoling After breakfast we drive for five hours upto the border of Bhutan, Phuntsoling. On arrival check into your hotel Overnight: Hotel Day 11: Phuntsoling - Thimphu After breakfast drive to Thimphu. The capital town passing countryside, through villages & paddy fields. Afternoon proceed for the sightseeing of Thimphu valley, visiting Tashichhodzong" the seat of the government memorial chorten. Return back to hotel for goodnight's rest. Overnight: Hotel Day 12: Thimphu - Punakha After breakfast, visit national library, which has fascinating collection of ancient Buddhist manuscripts. The painting school: famous for traditional medicine institute; where centuries old healing arts still practiced. Overnight: Hotel Day 13: Punakha - Paro This morning we drive to Paro. On arrival transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Paro is a picturesque valley with quaint clusters of hamlets paddy fields. The town still maintains traditions by way of architecture & the simple way of life. Overnight: Hotel Day 14: Paro This morning proceed for one of the most spectacular mountain flight from Paro. One can see Mt. Everest, Kanchanjanga, Makalu & other peaks of Bhutan such as Chomolhari, Jichu Darke & Tsrim Khang. Later, in time transfer International airport to catch flight for your onward destination with sweet and wonderfull memories of your "Jeep Safari In Himalayas" tour escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
